Pulling over to the side of the freeway, and getting out to change a flat tire shouldn’t have to be as dangerous as it often is. A car accident on the 91 freeway in California on Sunday proved that the danger is not from the fact that you’re out on the freeway, but from the reckless and drunk drivers on it.
28-year-old Raul Hinojosa and his friend Matthew Lawetzki had pulled over on the side of the westbound lane, and were engaged in changing a flat tire on their Nissan Sentra. According to the Orange County Register, a Ford Ranger driven by Allyn Barry Casey approached the Nissan in the right lane, and swerved his car onto the right shoulder, hitting the disabled car. Lawetzki was able to see what was coming and jump over the guardrail and out of harm’s way. Hinojosa took the full impact of the car accident and was killed instantly. He was the one changing the tire at the time of the car crash. Lawetzki was taken to the hospital for treatment for his injuries, while the driver of the Ford was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
Hinojosa was just 28-years-old, and this must be a traumatic time for his family. He was not in the wrong at all. All he was doing was changing a flat tire after having pulled over safely (or so he thought) to the side of the road. You should be able to pull over on a road, and fix your car if needed, without wondering if a drunk driver will show up and choose that same moment to barrel his vehicle into yours.
Just yesterday, we reported that drunk driving accident fatalities nationwide are showing a downward trend thanks to the minimum drinking age. It’s plain to see that the minimum drinking age will have a limited impact as long as people like Casey continue to shirk their driving duties. He was 58-years-old. It’s extremely frustrating to see older people who simply should know better, taking part in such destructive behavior. You can blame drunk driving behavior on ignorance and foolishness when the offender is underage, but when you see drivers like Casey so unmindful of their responsibilities on the streets, it’s enough to make you demand more severe punishment for offenders.
Hinojosa’s family must be struggling with the emotional aspects of this car accident, while Lawetzki continues to be in the hospital with medical costs of his own. The two families must consult with an experienced Orange County car accident attorney to protect their legal rights.

My car has A/C problems, a little rust, the speedometer isn’t working nor is the tachometer. I think also that one of the front wheel axles is needing to be repaired. Other than that, the car runs great. I just don’t want to get into a car loan which is more expensive than maybe a few thousand to fix my car. Also, with the economy being what it is, I don’t want to pay another 4 yrs on a newer car.
Girl, the speedometer and tach. are nothing in costs compared to those you are going to save over time in this "ever-changing" and "doesnt-appear-to-ever-be-turning-back" world. Gas is going through the roof. everything else is too. the economy is taking a dive through the floor. You see it, we all see it. The American Stock Exchange is dropping hundreds of points at a time, it is scary what is happening in this land we live in. And I can tell you the sped. and tach. won’t cost a lot to repair at all, just don’t bring it to a dealership to get it repaired, find a motorhead who’ll do it for cheaper, and fix it BETTER. As for your A.C. girl, i got you covered, go to WalMart (or your local equivelant) and buy a little can with the hose and nossle on it, they vary a little but they’re all called something like AC BOOST, easy to find, cheaper to buy, and going to save you BIG $$$ in the mean time of saving to repair your actual AC in your car. The other huge thing you need to take into the calculation of current times and your life as of right now is that: 4 cylinder cars, all acrossed the WHOLE U.S.A are at an actual SHORTAGE! If you get rid of your car now that is saving you more money (in the current and long run) right now than ANYTHING else on the road out there, then your going to regret it, there’s no two ways around it. I garauntee you’ll want to hold onto that car. its almost as good as gold…….have you seen how everyone wants your gold on television?? there’s a reason why*
screw those new car loans right now girl, stick it out. you can do it; you don’t know what the future is going to throw at you. SO…..avoid the ladder-effect, which can be something like:
You might be car-less because of the new car you bought, because you can’t afford to pay for it anymore, because you lost your job, because the economy, because of the the state of reality right now. You’re in control. totally.
My car ( its a little older) adn the heat or blower wont work. Nothing comes out. And my de foresters wont work either. I don’t know what to look for any thing and its the middle of winter and i need heat in my car. is there anything i can check or if andy one knows how much it will be.?
It all depends on what could be wrong. The first thing I would check would be all of the fuses.

I got into a minor one car accident. The front bumper, driver front fender, hood, and driver door all need to be replaced. How many labor hours do you think it will take to fix? I’m trying to determine whether the insurance company will try to total it. I know the parts are going to run about $2000 without shipping. My car is worth about $9000 on NADA. Thanks for your help.
your avatar looks angry must be because of the accident…but anyway you need to ask a couple of body shops those questions they have computer programs that will answer those questions for you exactly and they dont charge they are trying to get the job..it would be very hard to ans your question without looking at your vehicle …actually impossible
I have a mazda 3 that use to have a perfectly good cigarette lighter/eletrical output in my car. Then all of a sudden it stopped working. The cigarette lighter doesnt work nor does the electrical output. How do you fix it? Please tell me if I need to buy something or the specific instructions on how to fix it. Thank you
either the fuse for that circuit is blown or the power outlet has a power converter with a safety cutoff switch that trips if too heavy of a load is put on it. check both.
