Pretty straight forward I think. This one went very smoothly and I was pleased with the outcome. I think this video accurately describes the best way to jump start a dead battery. I want to thank Jennifer Sharon for submitting this question via e-mail at EricTheCarGuy.com, I thought it was an excellent topic to cover. I do wish to hold some kind of contest for the best car question submitted but I need to work out the details (I’m also hoping to gain more subs from it so I think I want to make that part of the contest). In the mean time if you have a question you would like answered please feel free to submit it at any time as a response to this video or visit the EricTheCarGuy forum, or EricTheCarGuy.com for a direct conduit to me.
Till next time be safe and stay dirty

I wish my sister …
I wish my sister watched this video before she ruin my car trying to start hers. I realize after that incident, I should know how to jump start and I watched a lot of videos on youtube but yours was very simple and easy to follow. AND ADDED bonus that you didn’t put me to sleep with those “mono-tonal instructional voice” that a lot on here seem to have. Thanks for uploading!

That is true. I …
That is true. I suspect it has something to do with excessive heat to the voltage regulator caused by the increased load. Like most things electrical heat can be a killer.
Thanks for the comment.

I was told never to …
I was told never to force your alternator to charge a battery which is excessively low, but rather to get it charged from a battery charger as soon as possible. Reason being that an alternator can be harmed attempting to charge a battery which is excessively low, as its never suppose to work that hard. Any thoughts on this?
