I have a honda civic 2002 coupe ex. The left side of the lower front control arm is breaking down. If I change the left side bushing will I have to change the right side as well?
Or will it be better if I just change the entire left control arm?
I would change both sides bushings and then get it aligned.

You can get away with changing just one bushing. However it would be better to change both and even better to replace the whole control arm assembly. Just to keep things even.

if your replacing it due to wear and tear, the other side wont be far behind, Do both sides properly, not 2 half jobs.

Well changing both sides would save you from possibly having to change one or the other at some other point in time….If the hole the bushing was in is deformed, then i would change the whole arm,but you should only need to change the bushings.
