Thanks for your reply, I can think of many practical uses for a remote controlled operation on my own vehicle.. but not on the starter mechanism…..not sure whether it is legal in the UK.

I saw one of these …
I saw one of these remote ignition starters whilst in America but could not imagine why in the world would you need one, especially for domestic use. Quite novel nonetheless…. useful when you are in a hurry i suppose.
